A thoughtfully designed, contemporary, second floor loft in an 1880s Main Street building, warm, open, and perfectly situated for a Finger Lakes getaway.
Located on the second floor in the heart of Penn Yan, The Loft is an open-plan apartment that blends historic character with a clean, contemporary aesthetic, offering a quiet and comfortable retreat in the center of town. Warm wood tones, comfortable furnishings, and dimmable lighting create a calm, inviting atmosphere throughout the loft, while exposed spiral ductwork introduces a subtle contemporary contrast and the original window openings maintain a connection to the building’s history.
The layout is fully open, with kitchen, dining, living, and sleeping areas all located within one expansive room. The Loft offers a comfortable and well-composed home base for a Finger Lakes getaway. The kitchen is fully equipped with cookware, dinnerware, a dishwasher, and coffeemaker, and sits adjacent to a dining area anchored by a large table crafted from reclaimed wood sourced from the building itself.
The living area features a comfortable sofa and large TV, while the sleeping area includes a king bed. A dedicated desk/work area is located near the bedroom zone, offering a quiet place to work if needed. The full bathroom includes a tub/shower, and a full-size washer and dryer are located just outside the bathroom for guest use.
The first floor below the apartment is a retail space with standard daytime hours. The building has been configured to provide strong acoustic separation between floors.
EV charging is available at the town library- 2 blocks away and just a short 5 minute walk from the apartment.
*Air conditioning is provided via central air
*A limited amount of paper towel, toilet paper, soaps, is provided for each guest.
**We ask that the primary renter be 25 years of age or older. By booking you agree with this policy and comply with this request

Really enjoyed being able to walk to breakfast, lunch, shops, breweries and even the Keuka Outlet Trail! The loft was more spacious than I anticipated and was very clean and modern design. Highly recommend and would stay there again!
The Loft was beautiful! It is immaculate and so comfortable at the same time. We loved staying here and look forward to doing so again!
Our growing family no longer fits comfortably in the lake house – The Loft was the perfect overflow alternative. It has a great vintage vibe of the original downtown, but with a modern touch. Highlights include: large open space, comfortable king bed, delicious restaurants and coffee shop below. The bathroom is small, but uses the space well. Hope to return to the lake next summer and stay at the Sheridan House again!
Everything about this space was awesome!!!
The two of us stayed four nights. The apartment was convenient to the downtown shops and restaurants. Parking was easy, the apartment was clean, and the king bed was comfortable. We would recommend this rental to any couple (able to negotiate the 21 steps up to the apartment). We plan to rent it next year when we return to visit our granddaughter.
Thank you for your hospitality and overall presentation of The Loft. We had a pleasant and wonderful stay, and no doubt will return again. High marks all around!
We came to Penn Yan to celebrate our 27th wedding anniversary . We enjoyed everything. about Penn Yan , Keuka , and Seneca. We loved the hiking trails in town and at Watkins Glen. The loved the local restaurants and the friendly atmosphere of Penn Yan. We also thoroughly enjoyed the Keuka Wine Trail and Seneca wines. We had a wonderful stay. ?
Our stay at the Loft was WONDERFUL – cannot express how beautiful it truly was inside. Cleanup was easy and will make this a yearly thing!!
Everything about this place is great. All of the instructions both online and in the binder were helpful and clear. Everything was in amazing condition and I appreciated all of the soaps were natural – Beekman and Trader Joe's. I loved that the place was so roomy and that everything was set up like a spa retreat when we arrived. The local suggestions were spot on – this was our 4th time to the finger lakes and 100% our favorite place we've stayed. The location was perfect – in 2 blocks there's an amazing F
The Loft was spotless. A large, comfortable space. Great kitchen, dining, and TV area. Bed was very comfortable. Easy parking. Enjoyed Parker's Grille, next door, food was delish & Mary the bartender terrific. Good location to explore the Finger Lakes region. Joleen was very responsive, kind and customer service oriented.
