Welcome to Papa`s Paradise, a haven of peace and comfort as you vacation in the Finger Lakes!
This lake home is located on the east side of Waneta Lake—a small lake within the Finger Lakes region—within 15 minutes of the village of Watkins Glen and 30 minutes from Corning. The quiet road to the house contributes to the tranquility of the setting, as well as the wildlife you may see from the house.
Inside the house you will find a roomy kitchen and a dining room that seats 10t. The attached, large deck provides great overflow space and allows you to enjoy the outdoors in comfort. The deck has outdoor dining furniture and chairs for seating/dining and is just feet away from the water. Sunsets are amazing from the deck and enjoying a glass of wine while sitting around the gas fire pit is a wonderful way to end the day.
Papa`s Paradise is a family home and has had many multi-generational memories made here. You`ll feel like you`ve taken a step back in time but with all the comforts you need.
The house has an open floor plan with the kitchen open to the dining area and living room. Several sets of patio doors lead to the deck from the dining room and living room and provide an amazing view of the lake. The living room has cathedral ceilings and an open stair case to the upstairs, as well as plenty of seating space and the pool table for a good game of pool–with a ping pong table top if you prefer. There is quite an extensive library of books throughout the house for reading on a rainy day, as well as many board games and dvds for entertainment.
The main floor has an additional sitting room tucked away to one side of the house, with a gas fireplace, and just in back of this sitting area is a bedroom with a Queen bed and a full bath with a tub/shower
On the other end of the house, off of the main living room, is the Primary bedroom with a king-size bed and an attached full bath with walk-in shower.
Upstairs is a large bedroom/family room with a Queen-size bed and a King size bed. The large walk-in closet, which is connected to the bedroom, has been turned into a small bedroom of it's own and has a Double bed. There is an attached full bath with a shower off of the large upstairs bedroom. This bathroom can only be accessed by walking through the bedroom area.
The clear view to the west, from the house and deck, gives you the perfect place to catch the sunset. Several kayaks, a canoe, and paddle boat are provided for you so that you can get around on this peaceful lake. You will have your own private seasonal dock for fishing or swimming.
If you're looking for a laid back, casual lake environment to relax for a week or a few days, Papa's Paradise offers that "homey" environment and quiet escape.
*Air conditioning is provided with several mini split wall units in the main living area and upstairs bedroom.
*A limited amount of paper towel, toilet paper, soaps, is provided for each guest.
*The garage is not available for guest use
**We ask that the primrary renter be 25 years of age or older. By booking you agree with this policy and comply with this request
**No pets or animals allowed
**No parties allowed
**Smoking prohibited
**Parking for 4 vehicles only! No EV Vehicles please….there is not an outlet close to the driveway and parking on the lawn is not allowed.
**Guest must comply with maximum occupancy at all times, no exceptions. Only 10 guests allowed, additional guests will be asked to leave.
**Lake conditions are not guaranteed and are non refundable
**Guests are asked to initial a rental waiver, sent via email, immediately after booking
*DOCK USEAGE:
This home has a seasonal dock which is available from mid May to the end of September. Seasonal docks are made for loading/offloading passengers only and cannot be used to secure watercraft overnight or for any length of time.
Guest assumes liability for use of the dock and assumes responsibility and liability for damages done to the dock during their stay, whether the damage is done by their watercraft or the guest themselves.
**Seasonal amenities: kayaks and some outdoor furniture are available seasonally and are often available for use from mid-May to October

Our family really enjoyed our Christmas reunion.
Papa's Paradise was a great for our family of seven. The kitchen was will stocked all of the equipment that we needed for meal preparation. The deck area was our preferred gathering place for us throughout the week.
The home was very nice!
We were very happy with the house, it's setting, and the cleanliness, as well as the homey feeling. It felt like a second home to us.
House was roomy and clean and we loved being right on the water. It was great to sit on the deck and watch the sunset each night!
This home lives up to its name, "Papa's Paradise." It is spacious, well-appointed, and clean. The view of the lake was picturesque. Our family enjoyed sitting on the deck for most of the afternoons during our stay. The rooms were comfortable, and this home has plenty of space for a large family to sprawl out. This home is now on our favorite list. We hope to return soon.
The listing matched the house, cleanliness, and great communication with the management company. We enjoyed the sunset and sunrise from this location and watching the fishermen running up and down the lake or trolling in the area. The house was a good size for family to dine together and laugh and play games in the spacious living room.
Everything we needed was provided. We particularly enjoyed being on the lake and the pier, especially for viewing the northern lights. We would be happy to return!

We really enjoyed our stay. Ping pong was endless fun for kids. Great bike rides around. Boats were a lot of fun. Our only wish is that the lake grass wasn't so abundant. However, we took the boats out a couple hundred feet and swimming was great. Overall a great experience!
