Breathe deep, exhale, and let your cares melt away. At Painted Quail Cottage, we guarantee to provide you with the relaxing lake views and water fun you crave!
Enjoy your morning coffee gazing at panoramic water views on the deck or in the master bedroom. Spend the day exploring the lake in the cottage canoe reserved for guests, hiking to one of the many waterfalls nearby, sipping wine along the Keuka or Seneca Wine trails, or letting the lake breeze wash over you while lounging on one of our 4 deck levels.
Built incorporating several mature trees, the young (and young-at-heart), will be tickled by the treehouse feel of the outdoor living spaces. Both bedrooms at Painted Quail Cottage provide views of the quiet and rustic Lamoka lake.
The Primary bedroom is located on the main floor with a Queen size bed, just off of the Living Room, with windows facing over the lake. The second bedroom is in the basement level and has a Queen size bed and a door out onto the lower level deck. The family room in the basement has an additional Full size day bed for sleeping an additional 2 persons. There is a full bath on the main floor with a porcelain soaking tub that has been outfitted with a shower as well.
Several cozy nooks provide an ideal space to curl up with a great book.
The kitchen is outfitted with a large stainless gas range/oven and the cookware/dinnerware you need for cooking up family meals, fileting the day’s catch or uncorking a local bottle of wine.
Make memories in the family room, if the weather spoils your outdoor plans, by utilizing the smart TV or DVD player (with DVD library cratering to every age). Looking to un-plug? The collection of board and indoor games can help with that.
Outdoor activities are a big deal in the Finger Lakes! The size of Lamoka Lake makes it a great lake for swimming, due to the water warming faster and higher than the surrounding larger lakes. Fish off the dock, use our lake frontage to enter the water for a swim, or gather around the chimenea for a campfire & S’mores. Lamoka lake is also centrally located to the Finger Lakes Region’s most popular attractions & activities.

**We ask that the primary renter be 25 years of age or older. By booking you agree with this policy and comply with this request
**No pets or animals allowed
**No parties allowed
**Smoking prohibited
**Parking for 2 vehicles only!
**Guest must comply with maximum occupancy at all times, no exceptions. Only 6 guests allowed.
**Lake conditions are not guaranteed and are non refundable
**Guests are asked to initial a rental waiver, sent via email, immediately after booking
DOCK USEAGE:
This home has a seasonal dock which is available from mid-May to the end of September. Seasonal docks are made for loading/offloading passengers only and cannot be used to secure watercraft overnight or for any length of time.
Guest assumes liability for use of the dock and assumes responsibility and liability for damages done to the dock during their stay, whether the damage is done by their watercraft or the guest themselves.
**Seasonal amenities: kayaks and some outdoor furniture are available seasonally and are often available for use from mid-May to October

I booked this cabin primarily for the location on the water and in the finger lakes region. The description of it being built incorporating trees totally sold me! The description is spot on in all it offered. We were blown away by all the personal touches in the decor, the well-stocked kitchen for cooking and the overall comfort of the cabin was so relaxing. I have rented on VRBO for the past 6 years a few times each year. I must say this cabin and stay was the best by far for me. My cousin travels with me periodically and she couldn't thank me enough for finding and booking it. We will most assuredly return!! We hated leaving!!
The convenient amenities and lake views were ideal for our getaway. The cottage was both clean and cozy. We loved the deck! The family room was a win, since the weather was cold and rainy. One of the best rental experiences we've had. We will be back for sure!
This cottage is beautiful and so clean – absolutely spotless. It is decorated well. It's very cozy, so much so that I didn't feel like going anywhere. I was so relaxed and enjoyed taking in the views and reading a book. We did travel to local wineries and hit the trails at Watkins Glen. Highly recommend.
We had a wonderful time at the painted quail cottage. It was very cozy and clean. There was lots of wineries to see around that area. There was even a general store, not too far. And lots of restaurants. I would definitely go back there again. It was girls weekend. I would even give it a 10.
Love this home and love lake Lamoka. We celebrated our 31st wedding anniversary and couldn't have asked for a better place to celebrate. Thank you for sharing your home. Looking forward to staying again.
Loved everything about this little cottage. They even have wine on the wall if u arrive without any (which was me). They just ask that you replace any that you take for the next guest. The view was perfect and enjoyed the visiting ospray several days.

We enjoyed our stay at this cottage on the lake as it was very quiet, peaceful and convenient.
This was the perfect place for a much needed getaway week for my wife and me. The cottage was very cozy and had everything we needed to make our stay perfect. It was perfectly located to explore the area. We're avid birders and found numerous places to seek them. We visited the Corning Museum of Glass and got to make our own blown glass drinking cups! And even though some of the more popular waterfall gorge trails were still closed for the season, we did get to see great waterfalls. Would happily reserv
This is our 7th trip to the Finger Lakes & hands down this has been our favorite stay. My husband & I celebrated our anniversary here & can't wait to come back. The Painted Quail is beautifully decorated & you won't want to leave as you wake up to gorgeous views of Lamoka Lake. We enjoyed watching the sunset with a glass of wine and even canoed.
