DESCRIPTION
Boondock Retreat is a restored farmhouse on the west side of Seneca Lake. Located just a stones throw from the Seneca Lake Wine Trail and about 15 minutes from Watkins Glen, this cozy home has great proximity to the Seneca Lake wineries and towns.
Boondock has a large open Living room and Dining room area with patio doors to the deck and views of Seneca Lake. The Living Room has a big sectional sofa, smart tv, and a great little nook with games, puzzles, and a table to sit at to do both of these activities, and the dining room comfortably seats 8.
The kitchen has stainless appliances, an eat-in Kitchen island area, as well as a coffee bar area. The large windows in front of the sink face toward the lake, making dishes a pleasure rather than a chore!
The Primary bedroom is on the main floor with a King bed and attached full bath with walk-in shower. Upstairs there are 3 more bedrooms, each with a Queen bed, and another full bath with a tub/shower. There is a small living space on the landing upstairs with a couch and tv.
The house has a large deck on the back, facing towards the lake. **Note: this home is quite close to the lake, but does not have access to the lake. There is a grill just off of the deck and a patio in the yard with a firepit along with outdoor patio furniture. This home has a large yard with a fence running around much of the property.

This rental was amazing! The pictures did not do it justice ! It has a fully Scott stock kitchen. The rooms were big and comfortable. The beds were comfortable super clean and the location was amazing. So close to all the wineries and activities. I cannot wait to rent it again.
“The Boondocks” was spacious, has a well equipped kitchen and a relaxing peaceful location!!! Recommended!!!
This home was great for my friends and I during our trip. It's tucked away so there is minimal noise, perfect for enjoying the surrounding nature but also just a short drive to Watkins Glen and the surrounding wineries and other local attractions. The hosts provided a clean space and a fantastic guide to the home and the area which helped our trip run smoothly (the kayak rentals they recommend couldn't be beat!). Parking is a little tight so carpooling is recommended but overall a great space!
Home is nicely remodeled, clean and well equipped with whatever you might need. There is no lake access but the lake view is beautiful. Plenty of room for our group of 7 and beds were comfortable.

Plenty of space for everyone to be comfortable – comfortable furnishings, beds were very good – kitchen was well stocked and everything worked great – extra blankets – great view for sunrise – morning visits on the street by a group of deer – appreciated the bottled water cooler.
My friends and I absolutely loved this house! Everything was clean and updated and it had so many things that other places we've stayed haven't had. We would definitely stay here again!

This was the perfect place for our family of six adults to relax and enjoy Seneca Lake. The home was spacious, clean and comfortable. We slept great in the individually climate controlled rooms. In the mornings, we had everything we needed in the well equipped kitchen to prepare breakfast, which we enjoyed with our coffee and tea on the deck.
